The Great Ocean Road Workshop

Date: November 5 - 8, 2010 Instructors: Richard White and Jeff Moorfoot

Using Port Campbell as a base, this workshop will be full of wonderful subject matter to explore. The waterfalls and the wonderful Sequoias of the Otway Ranges. The Twelve Apostles and Loch Ard Gorge and surrounding area. Whether stormy, moody or serene we'll discover ways of capturing all conditions with our photographic eye. Using long exposures as a technique to create surreal images and ways to pre-visualize this, as well as, for film users, understanding the reciprocity effect.

We'll also consider the emotional and subjective side of making photographs which goes far beyond the faultless technique that can so often deliver bland images. Our field trips are varied and exciting with plenty of time for photography and tuition at each location. During our important indoor sessions we'll discuss and review participant's work and offer helpful suggestions where necessary as well as looking at digital files and demonstrating how to prepare your images for print via several photoshop techniques.

Richard and Jeff will present and discuss the techniques used in producing their own prints and show how you can apply the same to yours.

So if you enjoy the outdoors and want to challenge and stretch yourself photographically then consider taking this exciting workshop. As always we will have lots of fun learning and photographing. The workshop begins Friday evening at 6.00pm for dinner or 7:30pm for instruction, and concludes the following Monday around 1pm.

With a limit of just 6 people, don't delay your application.

Workshop Fee: $495
