The Beauty of the South Island

Date: October 14 - 21, 2017 Instructor: Richard White

New Zealand is undoubtedly one the world's most beautiful places for photography and especially the South Island. Beginning and ending in Queenstown, for one whole week we will explore the area around Glenorchy and Wanaka and then head inland to Danseys Pass.

The road to Glenorchy is spectacular in itself, and the whole area in that region is a photographers paradise. Part of our journey will be around Paradise where Lord of The Rings was filmed. Then we head inland to the Danseys Pass area where it is one surprise after another. After a couple of days in this barren wilderness we move to the shores of Lake Wanaka to take in it's beauty not only around the lake, but the surrounding area as well. After a couple of days there we head back to Queenstown.

Richard has made many trips to the South Island over the years and these are some of his favourite places and some of the most spectacular.

The idea of the workshop is to get to the best places at the best time. Although we do have some indoor sessions, the bulk of the workshop has been designed around photography. The locations offer a diverse range of subject matter which in some cases will challenge and enthral you.

Workshop Fee: $1350. Includes transport during the workshop.

Airfare to NZ, accommodation and meals not included. Limited to 5 participants.
